Mr. Burton was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. He attended Loyola High School in downtown Los Angeles, and the University of San Diego, where he played football and rugby, earning All American Honors, and helping the Men's Rugby Team reach it's first ever Final Four. Mr. Burton attended California Western School of Law, the oldest law school in San Diego, earning his Juris Doctorate.
Mr. Burton has a diverse legal background, and has worked for non-profits serving the underprivileged, as a defense attorney, defending Fortune 500 companies, as a general counsel, and as an Plaintiff's attorney. This extensive experience allows Mr. Burton to bring a rare, dual-perspective to client's claims, as it spans civil litigation, appellate advocacy, and administrative hearings before the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the U.S. Department of Labor, the California Labor Commissioner, and the California Department for Fair Employment and Housing. Mr. Burton has focused his practice to representing employees in individual and class action wage and hour claims, wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and whistleblower claims.
Mr. Burton enjoys spending time with his family, pets, playing/coaching rugby, and going to the beach.
