Erin Cole
Attorney
Bio
Before becoming an attorney, Erin spent nearly a decade trading courtroom shoes for sirens and fins as an EMT in Oakland and an open-water lifeguard with Sonoma County Regional Parks. Whether racing through Oakland streets to emergencies or launching the award-winning Russian River Patrol, she learned early that helping people in their most vulnerable moments is both humbling and profoundly motivating. Continuously drawn to the beauty and rhythm of the California shoreline, Erin followed the coast south—first to UC San Diego for her B.A., then to the University of San Diego School of Law where she logged over 400 pro bono hours, served as an editor on Law Review, and co-authored a piece for the New England Journal of Medicine on abortion access. From there, she dove headfirst into civil litigation on behalf of survivors of sexual assault, harassment, and discrimination. Erin has represented clients at The Pride Law Firm, Haeggquist & Eck, and Melmed Law Group, where she helped launch a division dedicated to sexual-misconduct cases while tackling everything from class actions to PAGA claims. Along the way, she has briefed and argued motions at virtually every stage of litigation, earning recognition in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch and securing one of California’s Top 50 Civil Rights Violation settlements in 2024. Admitted to practice across multiple federal districts, Erin remains driven by the same commitment to public service that shaped her years as an EMT and lifeguard--protecting others and making sure every voice is heard. Outside the courtroom, Erin can be found trying to keep her plants alive, mountain biking, sweating it out at Barry’s, and fighting the patriarchy.
