Bio
Tannaz Ghayadi brings a dynamic combination of litigation experience, strategic advocacy, and business acumen to her role as an Associate Attorney at Laurel. Tannaz has represented employees in a wide range of complex employment disputes involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour violations, whistleblower claims, and PAGA representative actions. She has successfully managed high-volume caseloads from inception through resolution, handling all aspects of litigation including discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediations, and trial preparation, while securing millions of dollars in settlements on behalf of employees.
Tannaz earned her Bachelor of Arts in International Relations–Political Science from University of California, San Diego in 2018, where she received Provost Honors recognition. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Southwestern Law School in 2022, graduating in the top 10% of her class. During law school, Tannaz distinguished herself through her participation in the Moot Court Honors Program, leadership roles on the Board of Governors, and mentorship of fellow law students. She received numerous awards for academic excellence and advocacy, including the CALI Award in Employment Law Survey, multiple Witkin Awards, and the Best Oralist Award at the Charleston School of Law National Moot Court Competition.
Before joining Laurel, Tannaz practiced plaintiff-side employment litigation at respected Los Angeles employment firms, where she developed extensive experience litigating FEHA, CFRA, and PAGA matters. She also served as General Counsel for a Los Angeles-based company, advising executive leadership on litigation strategy, risk management, compliance, and corporate operations. Her experience working both as outside counsel and in-house counsel provides her with a well-rounded perspective that strengthens her advocacy for employees navigating workplace disputes.
Tannaz is passionate about helping employees feel heard, protected, and empowered throughout the litigation process. She approaches each case with compassion, attention to detail, and a commitment to achieving meaningful results for her clients.
