Pregnancy Discrimination Attorneys in Beverly Hills
Worker-Only Representation. No Fee Unless We Win.
Pregnancy discrimination remains one of the most common employment violations in California, and it doesn't always look obvious — from being fired days after announcing a pregnancy, to a role that quietly changes while you're on leave. At Laurel Employment Law, we represent workers only, and our founder's background as a former corporate executive means we know how employers document their decisions — and how to challenge that documentation.
California law offers protections that go further than federal law, covering employers with as few as five employees.
If your employer took action against you related to pregnancy, childbirth, or a related medical condition, call (310) 929-6371 for a free consultation. No fee unless we win.

Your Rights and Next Steps
California & Federal Protections for Pregnant Workers
California law layers strong protections for pregnant employees. FEHA prohibits pregnancy-related discrimination and harassment at employers with five or more workers. Pregnancy Disability Leave (PDL) provides up to four months of job-protected leave with no length-of-service requirement, and the California Family Rights Act (CFRA) adds another 12 weeks of baby-bonding leave after PDL ends — together allowing eligible workers up to roughly seven months of combined protected leave. Federal laws like the PDA and the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act add further protection, and reasonable accommodations can include modified duties, more frequent breaks, or adjusted schedules.
Deadlines matter: workers generally have three years to file a complaint with California's Civil Rights Department, but acting early helps preserve evidence and options. Successful claims can recover lost wages, emotional distress damages, reinstatement, and attorney fees — with no damages cap under California law.
From corporate executive to founder of Laurel Employment Law, Joshua White's passion for fair treatment and a decorated career converge to redefine employment law advocacy. Read more about how his commitment to doing what he says he will do means the success of his clients, both in the courtroom and at the bargaining table.
