Alexis Ortiz is a junior litigation attorney at Laurel, where she supports the firm's employment litigation practice and assists in representing employees in workplace disputes. Alexis is committed to delivering thoughtful, detail-oriented advocacy and helping clients navigate complex employment matters with professionalism and care.
Prior to joining Laurel, Ms. Ortiz gained litigation experience representing clients in employment matters involving workplace harassment, discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour violations, and related employment claims. She has experience handling multiple stages of litigation, including drafting pleadings and motions, managing written discovery, preparing cases for hearings and depositions, conducting legal research, and supporting clients throughout the litigation process. Her experience has strengthened her skills in persuasive legal writing, strategic case analysis, and effective client advocacy.
Ms. Ortiz is passionate about advocating for employees and is committed to helping individuals navigate workplace issues. She approaches each matter with diligence, compassion, and a strong attention to detail while working collaboratively to achieve meaningful results for her clients.
Ms. Ortiz earned her Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Boston University and her Juris Doctor from New York Law School.
