Ali Saghaei is a junior litigation attorney at Laurel, where he supports the firm's employment litigation practice and assists in representing employees in workplace disputes. Ali is committed to delivering thoughtful, detail oriented advocacy and helping clients navigate complex employment matters with professionalism and care.
Prior to joining Laurel, Mr. Saghaei gained litigation experience representing employees in matters involving workplace harassment, discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour violations, and related employment claims under the Fair Employment and Housing Act and the California Labor Code. He has experience handling multiple stages of litigation, including drafting complaints and multi count pleadings, briefing motions to remand and oppositions to motions to compel arbitration, propounding and responding to written discovery, preparing clients for deposition, appearing at case management conferences, conducting legal research, and engaging in settlement negotiations and meet and confer with opposing counsel. He has worked on matters in California Superior Court, in federal district court, and in arbitration, as well as on charges and right to sue letters before the Civil Rights Department and the EEOC. His experience has strengthened his skills in persuasive legal writing, strategic case analysis, and effective client advocacy.
Mr. Saghaei is admitted to practice in California and in Germany, and previously worked with Hogan Lovells International LLP and Freshfields in Hamburg. He is fluent in German, English, and Farsi. He is passionate about advocating for employees and is committed to helping individuals navigate workplace issues. He approaches each matter with diligence, compassion, and a strong attention to detail while working collaboratively to achieve meaningful results for his clients.
Mr. Saghaei earned his law degree from the University of Hamburg and his Master of Laws from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, with High Honors.
